Integrity vs. Crookedness

This is the first time I had the honor to Q at this awesome AO that has been a cornerstone in The Fort Region. Thank you Jekyll and the rest of the 17 PAX who decided to remove themselves from the fartsack this HOT/HUMID morning. Aye!

WARMUP

YHC had asked the PAX to be ready for action at 0515, so the warmup was my usual: All in cadence-Side Straddle Hops, Imperial Walkers, Low Slow Squats, Merkins, & Peter Parker Peters.

THE THANG

YHC then led the PAX to the back of the school at the playground area where they were divided up into fours. One set of PAX performed dead hang knee raises, one jump squats, one CDD’s, and the other PAX performed 10-alternating Swing Merkins & Swing Reverse Crunches. Then flap jack and rinse & repeat.

We then went to the benches that Jekyll guided YHC to for a series of the following in cadence: Merkins, Irkins, Dips, Step Ups, & Derkins (beginning with regular and then diamonds). A series of 6-Count Burpees was thrown into the mix as well.

Then we went to the main drive at the entrance of the school. YHC had the PAX pair up with someone they knew well. Partner 1 stayed where we were and performed an exercise called out by YHC while Partner 2 ran down to the sign and back. We used all muscle groups in this by performing: Various exercises called out by the PAX in attendance.

Then we took a short mosey back to the COT.

All PAX did a fantastic job this morning. Thank you for joining YHC today.

NMM

Proverbs 10:9 ‘Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.’

Integrity is a key character trait that every HIM should strive to maintain. Integrity is defined at adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. To maintain integrity one must have moral and ethical principles to adhere to. Without those moral and ethical principles the sad clown will be blown by the wind to and fro.

As a HIM, you must define the principles, what we call guardrails, to stay between to keep you from going astray. Once those guardrails are intact, you have a better defined path to follow.

Now, if you do not have those guardrails, you will be what Proverbs calls crooked and your path will not be straight. If your path is not straight you will eventually be found out.

It is not difficult to determine if a man has the guardrails in place to keep him from going astray. Just watch to see if his words and actions align with each other. If they don’t, he is lacking in integrity and is leading himself down a rough path.

If he does have the actions to back his words and adheres to his moral and ethical principles in all aspects of life, he is full of integrity and is headed down a secure path.

If we see a brother headed down the wrong path, point it out to him and help him get back on the path between the guardrails.

Strive today to walk in integrity and not crookedness today.
